(FIT) is a Philippine Non-Governmental Organization that works closely with the health and education sectors, various development agencies and private partners on effective school health programs. We offer information, technical assistance and a high-level network to support the institutionalization of school health programs.


Head of Finance and Administration
Misamis Oriental (CDO) (Northern Mindanao) - Cagayan de Oro City

Position Purpose:
  • Primarily responsible to manage overall financial functions of FIT in support of the goals and objectives of the organization
  • Responsible to oversee and direct other administrative functions
  • Supervises all finance and administrative staff

Duties and Responsibilities:
Management of finance and accounting
  • Manages and oversees all aspects of finance and accounting of FIT
  • Supervises finance officers
  • Performs financial planning, asset management and cash flow monitoring
  • Oversee, review and coordinate preparation and monitoring of budgets
  • Oversees payroll and benefits computation and administration
  • Reviews and finalizes financial statements, budget forecasts, balances sheets and other financial reports
  • Ensures accuracy, usefulness and timely delivery of financial reports to management, funding agencies, board of trustees and other partners
  • Ensures maintenance and compliance with appropriate internal controls and financial procedures
  • Coordinate audits and proper filing of tax returns and remittances of government contributions
  • Ensures legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions
  • Regularly reports to the Executive Director on the status of the organization’s finances
  • Oversees financing strategies and activities, as well as banking relationships
  • Keeps abreast of the latest financial methods, techniques, procedures and laws, and recommends applicable and appropriate financial policy revisions to the Executive Director
  • Represent the company to financial partners, funding agencies, and other financial institutions, as the Executive Director deems fit
 
Administrative responsibilities
  • Manages and oversees overall administration of FIT offices
  • Ensures that IT systems and processes support and contribute to the efficient workflow of the organization
  • Oversees information technology and network administration
  • Ensures that the organization is covered with the appropriate insurance policies
  • Ensures that all government registrations are up to date and regulatory reports are filed on time
  • Provides logistical support for operations
  • Performs other related tasks and duties that may be assigned by the immediate superior
Requirements:
  • University degree in a finance/accounting-related field
  • Licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • At least three (3) years of broad experience in financial planning and administration in an NGO
  • Expertise in dealing with local and international funding agencies
  • Proficiency with Quickbooks Pro
  • Preferably with expertise in office administration and with an MBA degree
  • Excellent command of MS Office
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • High attention to details, efficient in organizing service processes and economical in utilizing resources
  • Ability to relate with all levels of personnel and with people of diverse cultures
  • People management skills: gaining trust, motivating, giving rapid and comprehensible performance feedback, recognizing and addressing conflicts, and exercising disciplinary responsibility consistently
